Trioxidil: An Effective New Active Ingredient for Hair Loss in Men

Face and Neck Aesthetics

The phenomenon of hair loss in men, whether more or less pronounced, is affecting an increasing number of individuals at an earlier stage, sometimes even right after puberty.

Hair loss begins with a period during which the hair weakens, becomes thinner, and eventually falls out without the possibility of regrowth.

To try to counter temporary hair loss or early baldness, numerous treatments are available, including those based on natural products. Some even have the potential to stop hair loss and stimulate hair regrowth.

What causes hair loss?
It is important to understand that hair loss in men is primarily the result of:

  • Hormonal changes and/or hereditary predisposition, accounting for 70% of cases of baldness.
  • Nutritional deficiencies in vitamins and minerals, which weaken the hair and impede its growth.
  • Immune factors that can lead to alopecia.

In addition to these three common causes, other aggravating factors can include psychological problems such as chronic anxiety, severe emotional trauma, excessive levels of bad cholesterol, medical and/or medicinal treatments, an imbalanced diet, and the stress associated with hair loss itself.

A proven beneficial new active ingredient
Research in the field of hair loss continues to progress, resulting in the development of increasingly effective products. The latest addition is Trioxidil, designed to prevent hair loss.

Recognized for its triple-action complex, Trioxidil is highly effective in addressing hair loss problems. It acts in three different ways, primarily targeting hair follicles.

Among its actions, it inhibits the production of dihydrotestosterone, commonly known as DHT, one of the hormones responsible for alopecia or baldness. Simultaneously, it stimulates hair regrowth through intense hydration of the scalp.

Products developed with Trioxidil can contain up to 41 different ingredients, including vitamins, oils, and other natural and/or “harmless” chemicals for user health.

It effectively treats alopecia while naturally stimulating hair regrowth, even for hair that has been lost for a long time. It densifies the hair, making it stronger than before.

Effective components
Trioxidil notably contains Acetyl Tetrapeptide 3, an anti-aging and anti-inflammatory agent known to promote regrowth, improve the structure of hair follicles, and stimulate the synthesis of type III collagen.

It also includes cocamide MEA, an emulsifying and cleansing agent found in most shampoos, hydrolyzed proteins whose amino acids are useful for hair thickening, and sulfosuccinate, which combats skin and hair aging.

A range of three products
Trioxidil, present in a lotion, shampoo, or conditioner, reverses the hair loss process before baldness becomes irreversible. It intensely nourishes the scalp and stimulates follicles, resulting in more vigorous and healthier regrowth.

Suitable for all hair and skin types
As Trioxidil respects the scalp’s balance without causing any adverse effects, products containing it can be used by all men, even those with sensitive skin.

Usage tips for long-lasting results
Apply a Trioxidil-based lotion like Foligain P5 in the morning and evening, spraying four times on the areas most affected by hair loss in addition to using the shampoo. Gently massage until the product is fully absorbed. Do not rinse the lotion after application, and avoid wetting the hair for the next four hours. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly after use to prevent hair growth stimulation in other body areas.

The duration of treatment depends on the extent and longevity of the problem. It is recommended to maintain consistent treatment for 6 to 9 months for optimal results.
